Project Summary: Funded by the ADB, PacMar organized an intensive training program that focused on the research, extension and state of the art practices which have made Hawaii a leader in high yield sugarcane production. Specialized training involving seminar and field work was planned and conducted by PacMar. Training focused on sugarcane variety development, production systems, drip irrigation, harvesting, and sugar processing.

Project Outcome: The program successfully trained a group of directors of several large state-run farms in 

Guangdong Province of China.
