Project Summary: PacMar provided management and consulting services, including the preparation of a U.S. standard Environmental Impact Assessment report and packaging a million loan proposal to the ADB’s private sector window.

Outcome: PacMar
was instrumental in
successfully securing $50M in
funding from the ADB’s
private sector window. The
loan was the first of its kind
by the ADB to China’s
electrical power sector. An
additional $200 million in
syndicated loan was also
arranged via the ADB. The
Zhujiang Power Plant,
providing 600 MW of
electricity began commercial
operations in 1994 and has
been operating profitably ever
since.
